Tonight, Austin wanted me to give him a shower. I thought this was strange, but Scott swears he didn't tell him to say that. He also wanted me to sit on the edge of the tub while he was taking his shower, and then he proceeded to just talk and talk. Here was the most interesting topic discussed tonight:
Austin: Mommy, how your boobies doin'?
Me: Uh, they are fine.
Austin: Are they growin'?
Me: No.
Austin: Oh. Ok. Watch how I can dance in the shower!
(dances in the shower for a while and then stops)
Austin: Mommy, what are these (pointing to his nipples)?
Me: Those are your nipples.
Austin: What do they do?
Me: They don't do anything.
Austin: Why?
Me: They don't do anything on boys.
Austin: Oh. Ok. Isn't my daddy the greatest guy?!
Me: Yes he is...he's a really great guy.
Austin: Yes he is really really big and really really tall and I am going to be big like him.

Wednesday we left about 10:30 and had a good drive back. Austin fell asleep in the car first, which is really out-of-the-ordinary. We stopped for lunch in a small town...I have no idea which one it was, and hit the road again. We were home before traffic started. When we got home, I unpacked and the boys went outside to help Scott mow. Cody decided he was scared of the mower and came in to join Tyler for a bath. Tyler had been up all night the night before. He started to get congested Tuesday night, and slept in bed with me all night. I was up at least every hour. Anyway, I was really hoping that he would sleep when we got back. He was very tired and hardly slept in the car the whole drive back, and was just very very snotty. I put him down at 7, and he slept all night without a peep! He is still under the weather though, has been running a low-grade fever, and is not napping well. Thursday, we went to the store in the morning and the boys were really good. I took all 3 because I couldn't wait until Scott got home...we had no food! That afternoon I got out the new Walmart pool that Scott and Jeremy picked up Thursday night before we left, and BOY, was THAT a HIT! The pictures speak for themselves...if you look at Cody, you can see that he has his hands over his face every time Austin is jumping through the air!
After swimming in the pool I dried the kids off and then turned on my 90s music to cook up dinner...the boys went NUTS when 'Ice Ice Baby' came on. Cody actually pulled up a chair to look at the picture of Vanilla Ice on the TV. Austin and I danced. There is no question that they are my offspring!
As of Monday morning, Tyler's formula ran out, and so bye-bye bottle! YAY! He has done just fine, and has enjoyed his sippy cup of almond milk in the morning just like his big brothers did at his age.
Today, we laid around in the morning. Tyler is still not well, and is VERY fussy and VERY clingy. I am trying to do the best I can, but I just can't hold him all day. Part of it probably has to do with the fact that since we were with family so much, he and his brothers got a TON of attention. We went to Lowes this morning to get a screen door for the back door. I keep the door open so I can see and hear the boys, but the flies have been enjoying our house and I have had it. I found one for $80, brought it home, trimmed half an inch off the side (thanks Heather for your help), and the only thing I have left to do is have Scott help me put it on the frame! No more flies! This afternoon was a rough one. Tyler wouldn't nap, Cody didn't take a very good nap, Austin didn't nap at all, but fell asleep on the couch at about 5:30. He didn't budge until 6:30!

Tuesday morning Scott took the car and left at 6:15 to drive to Galveston for his Southland Conference meetings. My dad went to work soon after so the women and children had to fend for themselves, without a car. In the morning we went to the park. In the afternoon we hung out, had naptime, and watched movies. I let Austin watch his first Star Wars movie and he loved it! In fact, he made my mom's exercise step into a spaceship...
Tyler has been crawling off during diaper changes, and ended up peeing on Austin's spaceship right as I took this picture!

Monday we left Uncle Danny's and Aunt Desiree's at 10:30 and headed to lunch at Alamo Cafe with the Gramlings! It was SO NICE to sit down with my Aunt Janet, Jon, and Chris and Matt. All the boys behaved great, and we had a really nice time talking and updating each other. I love those guys! We hit the road for The Woodlands at 12:50. The drive was fine until about an hour and a half into it. It came to a DEAD STOP. There was no wreck. Nothing. It was just the massive amount of people going back into Houston after a holiday weekend. Ridiculous! My parents re-routed us and we exited, but only after it took us about an hour to go about 30 miles. We arrived at my parent's house about 5:30, an hour longer than it usually takes. BUT, my mom had dinner ready, and the boys were SO EXCITED to get to Gammie's and Pappy's. My mom had made cupcakes for Tyler's birthday, and Austin and Cody thoroughly enjoyed "helping" Gammie make the icing.

Sunday morning we just hung out and the kids played. After some early afternoon naps, we headed over to Ma's and PaPa Jack's at about 2pm. The first thing on the agenda was swimming. It had rained off and on for several days, so the water wasn't as warm as it had been earlier, but the kids didn't care. Austin sat out. He told me on Wednesday, and every day after that, that he didn't want to swim in a 'big pool'. We told him that was ok. Austin laughed a lot and enjoyed hanging out and watching. Cody wanted in and jumped in as soon as he could get his floaty on. Tyler sat in the swing the whole time and was perfectly happy to see all the action! Cody even went off the diving board with Uncle Danny's help. Swimming happened fast because it started thundering, and we headed in for Jack's fajitas...they are THE BEST. After we ate, the big kids watched Harry Potter, Tyler took a nap, and Cody played with Uncle Jimmy. Scott and Uncle Danny played Mancala, and then a Chicken Foot game got underway. Cody spent almost the whole time with Uncle Jimmy doing puzzles, playing games and walking around. The day was great and we had a lot of fun.

Saturday morning we just hung out again and were in out pjs until it was time to take my Grandma to lunch. Grandma hadn't even met Tyler yet, and I was excited to see her. We picked her up at 11:30 and took her to her lunch spot of choice, Jim's! I love Jim's, and they pretty much only have them in San Antonio and Austin. We had a great lunch with Grandma and it was so good to spend some time with her. The boys behaved SO WELL, thank goodness! Cody sat by Grandma and charmed her with his smile the whole time. After getting back from that, we put the boys down for a nap, and Scott and Uncle Danny went to meet one of Scott's friends while Desiree and I sat around and hung out. Austin did not take a nap, but played upstairs with his cousins for a long time. This night, Desiree made a big spaghetti and salad dinner, one of Scott's friends came over with his wife and son, and we ate dinner and talked. Uncle Jimmy came over and the Rock Band came out again! Late that night, I took Kendall and Kyle with me and we took off to find a Dairy Queen for some ice cream...my lovely navigational device led us to one 6 miles away!

We left for San Antonio right after Austin was done at school. I think the official launch time was 10:30am. Anywho, the drive down was great. We took 281 and it is the prettiest drive. Austin kept asking where we were, and there were very few times that I had the same answer for him...there are so many cute little towns along the way. We stopped in Lampassas and let the kids play a little before heading out again, then arrived in San Antonio at 4pm. We were staying with my Uncle Danny and Aunt Desiree. They have 3 kids, Kyle-15, Kendall-9 and Kameron-6, and they have the best kid-house setup I have ever seen. They have a 2-story house that has the master bedroom downstairs. Upstairs is a HUGE game room and 3 large bedrooms. They have tons of toys and a Wii, and we stayed in Kyle's room, which is the size of our master bedroom and has a king size bed. Their street is shaped like a horseshoe, and in the middle is a park playground, basketball court and pool. So, you walk down their driveway and across the street and there you are. I wish I could transport their floorplan and street to my home address. Anyway, Ma and Uncle Jimmy came over Friday night and hung out. We ordered a pizza and played and played. That night we rocked out to Wii Rock Band. By the way, I don't have a picture of Kendall this first day because she took all these pictures! She loved my camera and was quite the photographer all weekend!

Friday morning was Austin's last day of school. I cannot believe how fast time is going. Next year will be Austin's last year in preschool before heading off to Kindergarten. Can you believe it?! Austin did great at the performance this year. He actually participated in it for the first time! He wasn't super enthusiastic about it, but he did go through the motions at times. Mostly, he just tried to play it cool and act like he wasn't excited about seeing us sitting in the audience...he kept tying not to look at us, and kept trying not to smile big...he's "play-it-cool" guy! Here are some of my favorite pictures:
