Hittin' the Road

Well, tomorrow morning we are hittin' the road and going to San Antonio!  I am so excited about this trip since the moment in went into action!  We are going to hook up with my cousin Emily and her kids, and her dad, my Uncle Vaughn!  We are staying in a 2-bedroom hotel suite with my parents and that should be fun as well.  I have missed them and felt like I haven't seen them in forever.  I am bringing my computer simply to be able to post since I plan on taking as many pictures as possible!  This is an event!  Today was a MUCH better day than yesterday.  This morning, I packed a lunch and headed to the zoo to get there when it opened at 10am.  We walked along our usual shady route, and just like every other trip to the zoo, the boys were so excited to see the animals.  It was our first zoo trip without Scott, and it went fine.  I discussed things with Austin before we got out of the car, and he did great and helped me out a lot.  We got to see 3 tigers wrestling in the water which was SO COOL.  We just stood there forever...the boys were just loving watching them!  We also got to see a baby bear jumping around and sitting in the water trying to catch a fish!  It was adorable.  We stopped inside to eat the lunch I packed, saw a few more animals and headed home at 12:30.  Cody went right to sleep when we got home, and Tyler fought me on the issue, as usual, but eventually fell asleep and took a great nap.  I cut Austin's hair, then the boys watched a movie until Tyler got up.  We had a snack and then everyone got in their swimsuits to go for a swim at Aunt Nini's.  Austin and Cody had a great time, and Tyler got to sit in a really cool car floaty that had a top on it for shade.  We stayed in the pool for about an hour, then headed home.  I made dinner, gave baths, and Tyler was in bed at 6:45, followed by Austin and Cody at 7.  I have been packing and putting things in the car and Scott should be home at 10:30 from his trip to Tulsa.  I thought he was going to be in Denton, but he had to go to Tulsa first and was gone again last night, and will be in Denton tomorrow and Sunday.  Hopefully, I will be able to post tomorrow after an EASY car ride down to San Antonio (fingers crossed).

Jen, give Emily a big hug for me! I hope to see her on her way back through Tn. I know you must be super excited!! Vaughn is such a sweet man! He simply reminds me of my own father who I miss so much! Have a great time!!!
