Well, today was a little crazy. This morning we ran to Walmart to get Cody a toddler bed. While on vacation, he climbed out of the pack n play twice--the first time wasn't pretty, and the second time, he scared the crap out of me by simply walking into the den while I was reading and saying, "Hi Mommy". I about jumped off the dang couch. Anyway, yesterday afternoon during nap, I heard his crib rattling around so I went in his room and there he was, feet hanging over, and halfway down. So, he saw me and then kinda just let go...it wasn't graceful, but he wasn't hurt by any means. Last night, we put the side of his crib down until we could get another bed. Ultimately, we want to end up with 2 rooms for the boys: one room with Austin's full bed and the furniture that goes with it, and another room with bunkbeds (that can just be 2 twin beds for a while). I am already thinking that Austin's furniture will end up being a guest room one day...all 3 boys seem to like to sleep in the same room. When we got back from vacation, Tyler was sad that he was by himself again. BUT, I am SO NOT ready for that right now. Anywho, we went by Rooms To Go, and I looked online a little at other places, and there wasn't any bunkbed sets that just knocked my socks off, so we decided to just replace his crib with a little toddler bed for now. It uses the same mattress he has now, and was only $55! Tonight, we finished putting it together. As excited as I was about getting Austin out of the crib when he was this age (actually younger), now that we know what that business is about, we were hoping Cody would stay in his crib until the age of 10 (ha!). Hopefully, Cody will be better about staying in bed than Austin was/is, but I am not so sure, since he has his older brother demonstrating, on a regular basis, how to get out of bed. UGH. I have my fingers crossed. Yesterday I got some pictures of Tyler eating his first popsicle. He was very happy at first, then unsure, then hacked off. I don't think he liked the cold, and he ended up throwing it on the floor and having a HUGE Tyler fit. AND oh yeah, it was a good thing I got Tyler's pictures done yesterday because today, he was sitting on a sheet (the boys use an old sheet to make a tent) with some Legos, and Austin pulled the sheet, and Tyler went face-first into the pile of Legos, thus cutting his chin right under his lip. It never ends!
